The CheckedOK reporting system, due to be installed by April, will also be used for MAND PLS’ inspection work for high-pressure vessel safety.
CheckedOK works by recording inspection reports from engineers working remotely onsite. The data is entered through tablets and is immediately sent to a secure hosted database. Reports, including LOLER and PSSR certification, essential to lift and high-pressure equipment are then immediately available to users via a web browser.
CheckedOK is the market leading RFID inspection system for the cranes and lifting industries in the UK and Ireland and is recording new take-up with firms working with pressure vessels. Since its launch in 2009, it has gone through a series of improvements to meet regulatory and operational changes facing clients. It has to date, generated reports and certification documents for over 100,000 firms its clients service.
Established in 2009, Kent-based MAND PLS has grown significantly to become one the UK’s leading lift consultancy providers, delivering design, testing, audit and inspection services. Clients include the Home Office, The Ministry of Justice, Enfield and Wandsworth Councils and many housing associations including Clarion, Hyde, Riverside and Guinness. It provides inspection work for pressure vessels for Hyde Housing and Kier Group.
Hugh Gray, director for MAND PLS say: ‘CheckedOK offers us an automated solution that is more streamlined than our current system. It gives us the potential to grow our reporting processes with an established leader in the field.
‘CheckedOK will help us deliver our top-level services according to PSSR and LOLER standards with greater efficiency and we’re looking forward to the contribution it will make to the firm.’
CoreRFID’s technical director Munzi Ali says: ‘This project illustrates the flexibility of CheckedOK as a multi-purpose asset management and inspection system for firms in the chemical and engineering sectors needing to meet PSSR as well as those in the lifting sector.’
