The Skelmersdale Veterans Association have announced the passing of Mr Alan Lewis MBE. Mr Lewis passed away yesterday 3rd April 2020.
Mr Lewis will be remembered fondly by many people from Skelmersdale and further afield for the contributions he made towards improving the community.
Mr Lewis worked tiredlessly towards making a positive change to the community of Skelmersdale, especially towards the youth of the town and in a more recent role with the veterans of the area.
Mr Lewis received The Member of The British Empire in 2015 for Services to The Community and Young People.
