Business Students charity walk for Loss Foundation

sponsored walk

This April, our Year 2 Business Studies Students are taking part in a charity walk in support of the Loss Foundation. On Friday 23 April the students will take part in a sponsored walk around the Campus in Skelmersdale to raise money for the charity. This fabulous organisation is the only UK charity dedicated solely to providing bereavement support following the loss of a loved one to cancer. They have also recently expanded their support to those who have lost loved ones to Covid-19.

They offer bereavement support groups amongst other supportive social environments; they are also currently offering online support events.

The students have also ensured the event is safe and have put measures in place for Covid 19.

COVID 19 INFORMATION

There will be various health & safety measures in place. At a glance, these will include: Social distancing, hand sanitizing stations and masks will be worn according to current government guidelines.  If the event cannot go ahead due to restrictions, we plan to use Strava to carry out and record individual walks.

If you would like to sponsor the students and support the event, the students have set up a Just Giving Page and you can donate at www.justgiving.com/team/westlancs
