
Joe Biden won the race to become the next President of The United States of America.
The losing candidate President Donald Trump has cried “FRAUD” so many times that it is now stopping the democratic process moving forward. Indeed top Republicans are refusing to acknowledge the legitimacy of the result.
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said “There will be a smooth transition to a second Trump administration”, surely he was referring to the next election in 2024; or was the Secretary of State really suggesting that President Trump would remain in office post 20th January 2021?
President Elect Joe Biden has called the refusal thus far, of the incumbent President, to concede an “Embarrassment” and “will not help the President’s legacy”.
Irrespective of the outcome, it can be said that the United States of America has seen its reputation, and that of its electoral system, called in to question.
It is often claimed by American Presidents that they are the leaders of the free world. America has entered into military conflict over the years to protect democracy. The right to vote and for the people to decide who governs them is fundamental in a free society.
Claims of fraud without evidence could be in itself fraudulent.
