Skelmersdale United have the first of two away games this coming Saturday (28th Jan) when they travel to North Staffordshire to face Kidsgrove Athletic, United will be boosted by their last away performance that saw them pick up all 3 points at Clitheroe.
Kidsgrove are currently 8th in the NPL-West Division on 31 points, 7 ahead of United, a win for the blues would close the gap and be a big boost as Richard Brodies men look to move away from the relegation places.
Skem travel again on Tuesday evening (31st Jan), making the trip to Manchester to face Trafford who, as it stands are level on points with United.
It will be two big games for Brodies men, “We are looking to build on the fine performance at Clitheroe, were each to a man worked their socks off, it was a great team performance and we will be looking to do the same again. We suffered a setback when we faced Leek Town but sometimes you hold your hands up and say we were beaten by a better team”.
United fans can expect a warm welcome at both grounds, the hospitality of both clubs is second to none.
United’s next home fixture at the Burscough Community Stadium will be against 1874 Northwich on Saturday February 4th and again have a midweek encounter, a visit to Cheshire to face Runcorn Linnets on Tuesday 7th.
