Skelmersdale United are back in action on Tuesday night at the JMO, KO 8pm, when they entertain St Helens Town in the Macron Cup.
The Saints have just been relegated from the NWC North Division but showed tremendous courage in beating Pilkingtons 3-1 in the last round and they will want to leave the Counties on a high.
COACH TRAVEL/ WHO WE COULD FACE
Donāt forget you can book your coach seats for the Play-off game on 30th April, as yet United have no idea who their opponents will be, you can take your pick from anyone of 11 teams still involved in the relegation scraps at the bottom of the step 4 leagues.
Of course our preference would be Northern Premier West - Newcastle Town, but as it stands they sit outside the Play-off places and with a game against bottom side Market Drayton, it might just go to the wire just who we shall face.
As it stands, (I keep putting that but its all we can do at the moment).
The most likely of venues would be the Southern Central, where Kempston Rovers are battling it out with Hertford Town and Kidlington, should this be our destination then we can see a trip of between 162 to 198 miles.
We could also face, the Northern Premier Midland contenders, depending on who gets the automatic promotion spots from step 5, Histon or Wisbech, Histon are in the play-off spot but lost 5-1 at home to Wisbech, who are now 3 points behind. This is Northern Premier League territory, so it could be on the cards. Journeys to Histon 187 miles, Wisbech 195 miles most of it cross country, lets hope itās not them!
Other candidates include the Northern Premier East, where teams are battling it out to save the drop, we could be up against anyone of Tadcaster Albion, Bridlington, Sheffield, Lincoln Utd or Frickley Athletic, although with two step teams from the North still in the Step 5 play-offs this might not go in our favour.
We could still be drawn against teams from the Isthmian North or South or even the Southern South but that is highly unlikely.
As you can see itās a minefield out there, we should hope to know more after next weekend when most clubs play two games over the Easter Holidays.
