Utd visit Staffordshire

Fresh from their home victory over Ramsbottom United last Saturday, thanks to a Ste Milne poacher’s goal, Skem travel to deepest Staffordshire this Saturday 25th February, to face renown battlers Newcastle Town.

The win was United’s 5th in 8 games and has moved them to 10th in the table, just a point behind 1874 Northwich who sit in 7th place. The league is congested in the middle reaches with just 4 points separating Northwich and Newcastle Town who lie in 15th spot.

There is a gap opening up at both ends of the table with the top 6 clear of the rest, whilst at the bottom, Rammy are cut of adrift but 4 clubs are battling to stay out of the relegation places.

Richard Brodie will be looking for the same committed performance that saw them pick up 3 points on Saturday ” we played well to a man, deserved the win, Newcastle will be tough, they have been in this situation for a number of years and always find form and battle their way to safety, we are expecting a very tough afternoon”.

Supporters travelling should note the pitch is surrounded by a cycling velodrome, there is plenty of cover, just in case.
