Ahead of this week’s fixture away at 1874 Northwich United Manager Richard Brodie has brought in 19 year old forward Max McCarthy from FC United of Manchester.

Max hails from Crewe and began his career with Stoke City. Max has had loan spells with Stafford Rangers and Congleton Town during his time with Stoke. Max will add a bit of height to the United forward line, standing at 6ft 5 in, he will be instantly recognizable to the Skem supporters.

Also joining recently is Warren Gerrard, who moves from Rylands FC, Warren, a technically gifted hard working midfielder played a massive part of the Rylands FA Vase winning side and team that has risen up the pyramid. He spent time on loan at Lower Breck last season.

Matty Hamilton returns to the club, an energetic play maker, originally joining from Precot Cables at the start of the 21-22 season, making 10 appearances, scoring 1 goal. He moved on to Bootle FC and rejoined from the Bucks earlier this month.

Richard Brodie has also acquired the services of midfielder Ethan Devine from neighbours Prescot Cables, originally on the books of Tranmere Rovers, Ethan has also played for Marine and City of Liverpool.
