LEAGUE LEADERS AT WINSFORD

North West Counties League Leaders Skelmersdale United are on the road this coming Saturday 4th December, when they travel to Winsford United.

Manager Paul McNally said “Last week’s performance was out of the top draw, we have managed to reach the summit, but we have to keep working hard to stay there, starting on Saturday. Winsford pushed us to the limit at the JMO back in October and have been on a good run of late. So we will have to be on our toes.

It has been good to see the supporters making their way to away games, the support the team receives doesn’t go unnoticed and spurs the lads on. We look forward to seeing plenty of faces down at Winsford on Saturday”.

There are no midweek games for Skem but they return to the JMO on Saturday 11th December when they will face Padiham, this will be the clubs last game before Christmas and again Paul McNally has urged the locals to get down and show their support to their local team.

“We have a good side here, who are all wanting to play for the club and each other”.

“It’s good to see so many youngsters down at the ground for our games – Its usually asking for the adults to bring their kids, maybe we should be asking the youngsters to bring their parents!!!”

The game at the JMO kicks off at 3pm, Admission just £6, Conc £4 and Under 16s £1 or free with a paying adult.

CHRISTMAS DRAW

The club will be selling tickets for the Christmas draw against Padiham, plenty of prizes on offer, including a MASSIVE HAMPER and prizes of Goodies & Beer.

Don’t forget to get your tickets. It all helps the club.

BOXING DAY FIXTURE

United will be again in action on the 27th December when they take the short trip to Ashton Athletic, just 15 minutes down the road, easy to get to for the supporters, blow the Christmas blues away and get down and support “The Blues”.
