Kidsgrove Athletic are United’s opponents this week to the Burscough Community Stadium, kick off 3pm, with Manager Richard Brodie looking for his side to improve on recent games.

“We have played well in a number of those games and should have taken points but against Bootle we were well below the standards that we are striving for and we will work hard in training this week to get us back on the winning trail”.

Kidsgrove currently sit just outside the play-off paces with 27 points and have produced two back to back wins over Widnes & Clitheroe in recent weeks.

United will be without striker Max McCarthy after last week’s dismissal at Bootle but otherwise should be at full strength, the big striker has previously donned the colours of Kidsgrove, joining them on loan in January 2022 whilst he was at Stoke City.

The United supporters are reminded that the Skem Lotto Jackpot now stands at £500 and those wishing to purchase tickets to be in with a shout of the cash should see Mal at the gate.
