Halton’s mobile library service is to stop operating on Saturday 28th March 2015. The users of this service will be able to borrow and return their books as usual up until 7th March and they will have until 28th March to make any returns. After 28th March returns will only be able to be made to any of Halton’s library buildings.
The decommissioning of the mobile library service has come after the recent review of library services, which has resulted in all four static libraries being kept open, as well as the outreach service at Castlefields Community Centre, and also the retention of the home delivery service for vulnerable and housebound residents.
