Defeat at Runcorn Tuesday
Skelmersdale United are away this Saturday as they travel to Derbyshire to face Glossop North End who sit 2 places below Skem in the NPL Pitching In West Division and have won just three games at Home all season. United’s away form is up with the best in the division but suffered a bad night at the office on Tuesday when they went down 3-0 to Runcorn Linnets, trailing by 1 at half time the Blue Boys conceded a further two goals that ended their run of three successive away wins.
Manager Richard Brodie is looking forward to the trip “we had a poor night at Runcorn, they were a good side but we didn’t give them enough problems, we move on. Glossop turned us over 2-0 back in September, it was one of those games, we did enough on the day to get all 3 points. It should be a good encounter with both sides needing the points”.
The supporters travelling to Glossop please be aware that although the travel time states 50 minutes, traffic at the end of the M67 can be quite busy and can take up to 30 minutes to travel the last 5 miles.
