REGAL ENTERTAINMENTS’ STRICTLY SUPER PANTO PLAYS TO RAVE REVIEWS AT ST HELENS THEATRE ROYAL

Aladdin, starring Strictly Come Dancing’s Robin Windsor, has now opened at St Helens Theatre Royal and audiences are loving it. The traditional family panto runs until Sunday 12 January 2020.

Robin Windsor leads the star-studded cast as Aladdin, with Scott Gallagher as Wishee Washee, Si Nolan as Widow Twankey, Olivia Sloyan as Princess Jasmine, Timothy Lucas as PC Noodle, Philip McGuiness as the villainous Abanazer, Jenna O’Hara as the Slave of the Ring and introducing Kai Jolley as the Genie of the Lamp.

Director Jane Joseph said: “The cast of Aladdin have been hard at work creating a FAB-U-LOUS show that panto fans of all ages will love. There are lots of silly jokes, plenty of audience interaction, a spectacular 3D scene and well-known songs to join in with. And of course, with Robin Windsor in the title role, we couldn’t miss the opportunity to have some sensational dance routines in there to provide a real ‘wow’ factor to the show.

“The whole family will enjoy the show. You can cheer on Aladdin, ‘Boo!’ at Abanazer, shout ‘Ah-so!’ to Aladdin and Wishee Washee and give a ‘YOO HOO!’ to Widow Twankey. And a few lucky members of the audience get the chance to join in the fun on-stage.”

Lead star Robin Windsor said “I am thoroughly enjoying my time in St Helens and am grateful for the fantastic response we are getting from the audiences, its such a great cast and a top-quality production. I wish everyone in St Helens a very Merry Christmas, if you haven’t been to see us come along and if you have come again.”

Aladdin whisks audiences off to Old Peking for a tale full of Eastern promise. Cheer on Aladdin and his friends as they try to stop the villainous Abanazer from trying to rule the world with a very special lamp. Will he meet the beautiful Princess Jasmine and who are the Slave of the Ring and the Genie of the Lamp?  Find out every day at St Helens Theatre Royal until Sunday 12 January 2020.
