For it’s 39th year, CAFOD’s Fun Run returns this Christmas to Liverpool’s Wavertree Athletics Centre on Wednesday 27th December. Gather your friends, family, and four-legged friends to continue the Christmas cheer, all whilst making a difference to families fighting poverty with every step you take.
Angela Pender, who has been volunteering at the Christmas Fun Run for 8 years, said, “Community is everything to me, and when the community all meet together at the Fun Run, it’s lovely. You don’t get to see people throughout the year, but when we do it’s all hugs! It’s the spirit of Christmas continued. I’m very passionate about volunteering for CAFOD, so the more people who get involved means more money is raised for the work we do.”
We have both a 3km and 5km route, suitable for all walkers, runners, wheelchairs, prams and even dogs on leads. It really is fun for all the family!
Sign up today and start gathering sponsorship. If you raise £100, we will send you a free CAFOD running vest!
You can also register on the day from 10am. Please arrive with plenty of time to register before the fun run begins at 11am. Tickets are £10 per adult, £5 per child or £20 per family.
CAFOD’s Christmas Fun Run raises vital funds to work with communities across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East to fight poverty and injustice. CAFOD works with local experts who provide practical help in times of crisis and emergency, including helping people to rebuild their lives after natural disasters and tackling issues associated with the climate crisis.
