WLC students help to deliver an Interactive Careers Event

In these very unique times it’s important to still celebrate our student’s success.

A couple of weeks ago our fantastic 2nd Year Business Level 3 students put their skills to the test managing the West Lancashire Interactive Careers & Progression Fair. Managing a business event is one of the most exciting and challenging tasks you get to participate in when studying Business. Year 2 students needed to bring together many different skills and roles to successfully deliver the Interactive Careers Event at the college.

The event was attended by over 1000 pupils/learners from across West Lancashire. Melanie, 2nd year student commented: “Managing a Business Event can be fun and rewarding, we really enjoyed the opportunity to be tested in a different way in this highly practical unit and also getting the chance to put our knowledge into practice”.

Principal Denise Williamson said; “This was a real-life experience for our fabulous students. The students represented themselves and the college exceptionally and demonstrated an extraordinary commitment leading up to the event but also hard work and dedication on the day. They also received excellent feedback from the many schools, employers and university partners who attended. Well done to all”.
