Lancaster Castle is raising the curtain on a brand new adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s novel, ‘Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime’.

At 7.30pm on Saturday 26 September, Rocket Theatre will be performing their hilarious two-man show retelling the classic story.

The black comedy tells the story of love, honour, duty, fortune telling and inevitably, murder. It promises an evening of wit, fun and indulgence.

Rachael Jackson, Lancashire County Council’s assistant museum manager at Lancaster Castle, said: “This is a wonderful black comedy, full of Wilde’s genius, comedy and humour.

“It is a real treat for Wilde lovers and will be great entertainment for everyone.

“During the show, people can expect to laugh at Lord Arthur’s anecdotes, marvel at the versatility of his valet, and gasp and squirm in their seats as sinister secrets are revealed.

“It is a fantastic show set in the wonderful historic backdrop of Lancaster Castle.”

Tickets cost £10 for adults and £7.50 for concessions and children.

Ticket numbers are limited so booking is essential. To book a ticket, find out about opening times or for more information phone 01524 64998 or call in at the castle shop between 9.30am to 4.30pm.
