Following the government announcement of further measures to be introduced this week, we would like to reassure our local communities and businesses of the ongoing work with our partners to stop the virus spreading and support the needs of West Lancashire.
We are continuing to support vulnerable residents who do not have any support in place through West Lancs Together. Any Council tenant or resident who is struggling financially due to the impact of the pandemic are encouraged to get in touch for support and advice.
Local businesses can also find details of helpful information and support available on our website.
We are awaiting further guidance on whether the leisure facilities such as Banks Leisure Centre, Beacon Park Golf Course, Burscough Racquets and Fitness Centre, Nye Bevan Pool and Park Pool will remain open and we will provide an update as soon as we can.
Councillor Ian Moran, Leader of West Lancashire Borough Council, said: “Keeping everyone as safe as possible remains our top priority and we are working with all our partner organisations to beat this virus. Every effort is being made to ensure essential Council services will continue and our teams can provide support to those who need it most. I am grateful to all our staff working to support our vulnerable residents and businesses alongside providing those vital day to day services critical to the borough.”
