Two men attacked in Skelmersdale

Skelmersdale Police are appealing for information after two men were attacked in Skelmersdale.

The incident happened at around 9.45pm on Friday, August 11 following reports of a disturbance outside an address on Ennerdale. A group of men, some in possession of weapons including a crossbow and screwdriver, assaulted two men both aged 27.

The group had dispersed prior to police arrival and the two men were taken to hospital for treatment.

One of the offenders was described as 5ft 6in with dark blonde hair aged 20 to 24 years old and was wearing light grey jeans and a grey top. A second offender was described as a very tall man, around 7ft, aged around 20 to 25 years with a drained face and was dressed in black clothing.

DC Peter Reil of Skelmersdale CID said: “This was a nasty attack on the two victims by a group of men who were in possession of a number of weapons.

“Thankfully their injuries are not life threatening but the victims have been left extremely distressed by what has happened to them. Enquiries to identify those responsible are underway and we are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident to contact us.”
