As we are starting to see increases in the positive cases across West Lancashire, in particular for those aged 60 and above, we are asking residents to really consider their Christmas plans to ensure the safety of their friends and family.
Councillor Ian Moran, Leader of West Lancashire Council said: “It has been a tough year and we have all been looking forward to Christmas but keeping safe is the most important thing to do. This will be the first year I will not spending Christmas Day with my mum and my sister but it is for the best in the long run and I am looking forward to catching up when it is safe to do so.”
As West Lancashire is currently in Tier 3, residents are asked to follow all the safety guidance which can be found at www.gov.uk/coronavirus. Residents can also continue to get tested at the testing facilities across the borough.
