Take part in St Helens Libraries Creative Writing Competition 2017.

As part of St Helens Libraries Creative Writing Competition 2017, children and young people who live or go to school in St Helens are being asked to write a short story of no more than 500 words about a superhero.

The superhero can be one from a cartoon or film – or even a made up one

Choose from one of the six story starters found on the entry form and tell us what happens next!

Comic and graphic novel style drawings can be used to compliment your story, but it isn’t essential.

Prizes will be awarded for both Primary and Secondary

1st Prize: £35 book token & £75 worth of books for your school library
2nd Prize: £25 book token & £60 worth of books for your school library
3rd Prize: £15 book token & £40 worth of books for your school library

Call in to any Library in St Helens to collect your entry form for full details. The deadline for entries is Saturday 18 February 2016 and can be returned to any St Helens Library, the Schools Library Service, or by email to: karenthornburn@sthelens.gov.uk.
