St Helens Council Music Service Spring Concerts 2015


St Helens Council Music Service is staging four nights of performances as part of their Spring Concerts 2015, featuring vocal and instrumental groups from across St Helens.

Pupils and teachers from across the borough will join together a series of themed performances.

The concerts run from 6:30pm – 7:30pm on Monday 2, Tuesday 3 and Thursday 5 and Friday 6 March, at St Helens Town Hall. Tickets are priced at £5 for adults and £3 for under-16s.

The following groups will take part each night:

Monday 2 March: Vocal Evening

  • Billinge Young Singers
  • Sutton Young Singers
  • Newton Young Singers
  • Newton Song Club
  • Vocal Youth
  • Teachers’ Choir
  • Council Choir


Tuesday 3 March: String and Keyboard Evening

  • Haydock Keyboard Ensemble
  • St Helens Youth Sinfonia
  • Newton 4 String (St Peter’s Primary)
  • Newton 4 String (Newton Primary)
  • Blackbrook 4 String
  • Broad Oak Primary String Orchestra
  • Haydock High String Ensemble
  • Newton and Town Centre Guitar Clubs


Thursday 5 March: Woodwind and Brass Evening

  • Billinge 5 Note Bands
  • Carr Mill Clarinet Choir
  • Sutton Woodwind Ensemble
  • Flautissimo Flute Choir
  • Rivington Flue Club
  • St Helens Youth Wind Band
  • Haydock Intermediate Band
  • Sherdley 5 Note Band
  • Rainhill 5 Note Band
  • Eccleston Mere Percussion


Friday 6 March: Brass Evening

  • Rainford 5 Note Band
  • Newton Youth Wind Band
  • Newton 5 Note Junior Band
  • Mertonbank Brass Band
  • Town Centre 5 Note Band
