Skelmersdale United will have their last pre-season friendly this coming Saturday 30th July, when Welsh Premier League side Flint Town are the opposition but the game won’t be played in Skem but 4 miles away in Burscough due to the on-going pitch problems at the JMO.

Chairman Gordon Johnson has said “obviously it’s a very disappointing situation at the moment having to play at Burscough but we are working hard to get back to Skem as soon as possible, we built up a good following last season and hope that the fans will make the short journey and give us their support in the coming weeks”.

United will again be at Burscough the following week when the season starts in earnest as United kick off their season with a “Home” FA Cup tie against Padiham, the game kicks off at 3pm with admission prices being Adults £9, Conc £6, 16 & under £2, 16-18 £3.

The Northern Premier League season kicks off the following Saturday with United again at Home with their first visitors in the new league Trafford.
