Twinkle House is delighted to share an opportunity that has arisen within our specialist Sleep Clinic working with children and young people from 2 – 19 years along with their families. We are looking to recruit someone interested in a secondment or short-term contract who would like to extend their knowledge on how to support children and their families who struggle with sleep and the added factors that impact on everyone involved.
The arrangement which will run initially from March 2023 until 31st October 2023 is for someone to join the sleep team for 7 or 14 hours a week.
During your time with us you will develop your understanding around the significant issues sleep problems present and learn strategies that can be transferred to any role.
Experience of neurodiversity is essential to this role and a basic understanding of sleep hygiene would be extremely advantageous due to the short-term nature of this opportunity. However, we would be open to conversations with applicants who may want to know more about the important role of understanding the diverse impact around families struggling with sleep issues. You will be involved in delivering workshops and presentations to both parents and young people along with providing 1-1 support.
Awareness and having an understanding of how sensory processing impacts on sleep routines would also be an advantage in this position.
We are looking for someone to begin working with us from the end of February 2023 to ensure that any induction, training, and handover be carried out to ensure that the continuation of our sleep service is not affected during this transitional period.
The salary for this position is set at Scale Pt Scale 5 SCP 15 of an annual salary of £23,953.00 (2021/22 NJC) pro rata.
