With Christmas almost upon us we are encouraging everyone to shop safe and shop local as we all prepare for the festive season.
Our Shop Safe Shop Local campaign aims to help West Lancashire businesses and keep us all safe as we make those final preparations for Christmas.
Shop Safe Shop Local particularly aims to support shopping areas in Burscough, Ormskirk and Skelmersdale and shows our commitment to backing our local economy and protecting our communities from coronavirus.
Councillor Ian Moran, Leader of West Lancashire Borough Council, said: “We want all our residents to stay safe, particularly with Christmas coming up, and one of the best ways they can do that is by shopping in their local areas.
“Local shops have taken great steps to make sure their premises are safe to visit and have a great range of wonderful gifts and food available all year round. So we can all Shop Safe and Shop Local, and by doing this we will also be supporting the local economy which has been hit hard during the continuing pandemic.”
