Film fans and children of all ages are in for a real treat at the Brick Flicks exhibition at the Chapel Gallery in Ormskirk.

From The Matrix to Mary Poppins, and Laurel & Hardy to the Life of Pi, Brick Flicks is an exhibition of movie posters showing some of the most iconic and memorable film moments of all time in a way you will never have seen them before.

Recreated by well-known LEGO® bricks artist Warren Elsmore, each familiar scene has been carefully photographed to mimic the staging and lighting of the original movie. But the scenery, actors and actresses are recreated with everyone’s favourite building blocks. How many will you recognise without reading the captions?

Brick Flicks is a great exhibition for all the family and runs until Saturday 7 July.

Inspired by the Brick Flicks exhibition, exhibit your own building Brick Creations at Chapel Gallery.

All kinds of building brick creations can be submitted for this competition, including those built from kits with instructions, but for a chance to win a £100 prize, use your imagination to build your own weird and wonderful Brick Creation!

For details on how to enter visit chapelgallery.org.uk/exhibitions . The deadline for emailed submissions for the Brick Creations Competition is Monday 21 May, for delivery Saturday 26 May and exhibition from Tuesday 29 May till the end of the show Saturday 7 July.

John Harrison, Director of Development and Regeneration, said: “People of all ages can enjoy the fabulous Brick Flicks exhibition at the Chapel Gallery, so come along and enjoy this free event.”
