Malaysia is a fast flowing circuit with some tricky corners for the unwary driver. It is a technical and fast circuit with varying angles on the circuit, meaning the drivers need to be focused from the first turn to the last. 15 corners make up the circuit and each corner has its own challenge for the drivers to deal with at any time.
Last year the Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton dominated qualifying. At the start of the race Lewis Hamilton pulled away and dominated the race as the lights went out. Nico collected 2nd place giving Mercedes its first of many 1-2 finishes last season. Fernando Alonso has been given the green light to race this weekend after his mysterious crash in testing, and Valtteri Bottas is also hoping to make it on to the grid after suffering a back injury 2 weeks ago.
