West Lancashire residents are invited to watch NHS West Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group’s (CCG) annual general meeting (AGM).

The CCG’s AGM will be held in an online session on Tuesday 3 November 2020, from 5pm – 6pm and questions are welcomed in advance.

Anyone wishing to attend or ask a question should email wlccg.myview@nhs.net. The event will be hosted by NHS West Lancashire CCG chief finance officer Paul Kingan, who will introduce presentations on the annual reports and accounts for the CCG and provide a short presentation on the local response to COVID-19 before answering any questions received before the event.

Dr Peter Gregory, local GP and CCG chair, said: “Our AGM is usually a great opportunity to have face-to-face contact with local residents to discuss healthcare services in West Lancashire.

“It is a great shame that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are unable to hold the event in public as we have done for the past few years as it always proves very popular.

“However, we welcome anyone who wishes to observe the meeting and indeed ask a question. Any questions that do come in in advance will be answered on the evening.”

In preparation for the meeting, the CCG, which is responsible for planning and buying health services across West Lancashire, have already published their annual reports on their website. The report sets out the progress made to develop safe, high quality health services for local people. They also describe how the NHS has worked closely with local GPs, patients, carers, local authorities and partner organisations to shape plans for the future that put patients at the very heart of services.

If you wish to attend the meeting or ask a question, email wlccg.myview@nhs.net and a link will be sent for you to access the meeting. Questions must be submitted by Friday 30 October 2020, however any questions received after this time and up to Tuesday 3 November 2020 will be answered within the minutes of the meeting and published online.

The meeting will be recorded and made available to view online for anyone unable to attend.
