Police appeal to the public following assault at Vue Cinema, Southport

We’re investigating an allegation of assault which took place in Southport in early August.

The incident is reported to have happened on the 10th August at around 7.40pm at the Vue Cinema, Ocean Plaza in Southport when the victim, a 16 year old girl, was verbally and physically assaulted by another woman and two teenage boys.

As she was leaving the cinema, the 16 year old girl was reportedly verbally assaulted by a woman who then pulled her hair, causing her to fall. Here, the two boys are reported to have kicked the teenager.

The woman is described as white, between 40-45 years old, of stocky build, around 5ft 5, with blonde hair worn in a ponytail and wearing a black hooded top and blue jeans.

The first teenager is described as white, around 18 years old, of thin build, around 6ft 1, with short brown hair and wearing a blue Sprayway Coat.

The second teenager is described as white, around 14-15 years old, of stocky build with short brown hair and wearing glasses.
