People struggling financially due to Coronavirus can get support to help them avoid the loan shark trap

West Lancashire Borough Council would like to remind everyone about the dangers of loan sharks and there is help and support for anyone struggling financially due to the impact of Coronavirus.

We offer a free, independent and confidential Money Advice Service to all Council tenants. Our advisers can help with debt problems, how to manage bills, claim benefits, and negotiate debt payment programmes. Councillor Jenny Wilkie, portfolio holder for Housing and Landlord Services, said: “We know these are challenging times if you are struggling please seek financial support. We don’t want anyone in West Lancashire to fall into the loan shark trap.”
