The Mayor of West Lancashire, Councillor Terence Aldridge, has met with the Ormskirk Ambassadors to thank them for their hard work and services to Ormskirk Town centre. The community group have been volunteering their time to ensure residents and visitors feel safe and informed when returning to Ormskirk Market. They’re also acting as a point of contact for anyone who has questions about staying safe when out and about.
Dave Mutch has said; “Ormskirk Ambassadors has given us a chance to meet and greet and welcome people to Ormskirk Town Centre on Market days. As people come out of lockdown we want people to feel safe and relaxed and enjoy the new market layout. As Street Pastor volunteers we are pleased to be working with WLBC in this new initiative.”
Councillor Moran has said; “For residents who may have been previously isolating at home, the Ormskirk Ambassadors offer an essential friendly face for those who may need help or support. They are an excellent example of the wonderful community spirit we see here in Ormskirk.”
