No game for United Saturday (3rd) Runcorn the visitors on the 6th

Skelmersdale United have NO game this coming Saturday 3rd Sept, due to FA Cup action. United are scheduled to face Runcorn Linnets on Tuesday night (6th August) at Burscough’s Community Stadium, although that game depends on the results of Runcorn’s fixture at Marske on Saturday, should their FA Cup tie end in a draw, the game against Skelmersdale United will be postponed till later in the season.


Skem will be in Cup action themselves the following Saturday, 10th September when they travel to Widnes for the Qualifying Round of the Isuzu FA Trophy, there will be a result on the day. The winners of the tie will travel to either Macclesfield or Tadcaster Albion in the next round, scheduled for Saturday 24th September.


Tuesday 13th September will see the club make its longest League journey of the season when they travel North to face Workington. The following Saturday, 17th September United will be at Home to Glossop North End, who have in their ranks former Skem favourite Bevan Burey. Glossop have started the season in fine form and are currently 6th in the Pitching-In Northern Premier League West table.
