Witness appeal following Ormskirk collision

Lancashire Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Ormskirk on Friday (27th July).

Police were called at 23:05 to reports of the collision involving a Ford Fiesta.

The car had been travelling South on Altys Lane when it collided with a stone wall and a concrete lamppost before landing on its roof in a nearby field.

The driver – a 19-year-old-man – was taken to hospital to be treated for back injuries.

Sergeant Lee Harris of Lancashire’s Road Policing Unit: “We are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the collision and would appeal to anyone who witnessed it, or saw the vehicle in the moments leading up to the collision, to get in touch.”
