West Lancashire College are delighted to have been used as a film location for an episode of a brand new Channel 4 series. Optimum, the programme makers, visited the college earlier this year looking for suitable premises and were immensely impressed by the fantastic facilities at the college including the two training kitchens and The Works Restaurant.

Hosted by renowned Maître D’ Fred Sirieix (First Dates) the new series Snackmasters started on Tuesday 1 October on Channel 4 after The Great British Bake Off, with the West Lancashire College episode airing next week, on Tuesday 8 October 2019 at 9.15pm.

In the week 2 episode, two of the country’s top chef’s Matt Worswick and Tristan Welch compete to replicate the production of Monster Munch in the college’s two training kitchens, with the judging taking place in The Works Restaurant.

Denise Williamson, Principal, said “This is a great opportunity for us to show off our world class facilities, and links us to two Michelin star chefs. Following the filming, Chef Matt Worswick has offered for our Professional Cookery students to visit Latymer Restaurant in Surrey and take part in training at this prestigious restaurant which will be a fabulous experience.”
