The Tempest at Knowsley Hall

This summer, Shakespeare’s magical play, The Tempest, will be performed in the beautiful grounds of Knowsley Hall.

In their 14th year of touring, The Lord Chamberlain’s Men will be back in Knowsley telling the story of The Tempest with comedy, music and dance. The Tempest tells the story of a magician who plots his revenge for his brother’s betrayal. Betrayal, revenge, power and magic – it’s all going on in The Tempest.

Just as it would have been performed back in the day of Shakespeare, the play will have an all-male cast complete with brilliant Elizabethan costume and will be performed in the open air.

Bring a low backed seat or rug with some food for a picnic and you’ll have everything you’d want for a lovely summer’s evening in an incredible setting.

You can come and see Shakespeare’s classic show at Knowsley Hall on Thursday 9 August 2018 from 7.30pm to 9.45pm.

Tickets are £15 for adults and £10 for children. You can also make use of the family ticket (2 x adults & 2 x children) for £45. Postage and packaging is £2.

The performance will go ahead whatever the weather so be prepared – you may need sun cream and sunglasses or you may need a raincoat and a rain hat!
