The Concourse Centre unveils street food court

A new street food court has been created within the Concourse Centre, Skelmersdale, and local food operators are being invited to set up shop.

The centre, which is owned and managed by national commercial property and investment company LCP, has revealed that a double-fronted 1,597 sq ft retail unit overlooking the centre’s grounds has been transformed into the “Concourse Kitchen”.

Work is now complete on the 40-cover food court incorporating four affordable food outlets and businesses are able to move in as soon as possible.

Concourse Centre manager Gary Mitchell said the letting process had been simplified to make it as easy as possible for operators to set up business and start trading quickly with very little upfront cost.

“We’re very excited to have put the finishing touches to the Concourse Kitchen, which represents a sizeable investment for LCP,” he said.

“It is situated in a fantastic location within the shopping centre and we are very keen to see local start-ups beginning their retail lives here, in addition to already established food operators. We want to foster a vibrant and friendly place where shoppers can enjoy a street food vibe in a relaxed environment”.

Each kiosk is 68 sq ft and each have its own water, drainage and electricity supplies and all are secured with shutters. The Concourse Centre will provide tables and chairs in addition to refuse and cleaning services to the public areas.
