Been thinking of working in the Adult Social Care sector? Not sure how to take that first step? Or maybe you’re already working in a care environment but want a qualification to help you progress at work?

If you are over 19 years of age, why not sign up for Adult & Community Learning’s (ACL) new courses designed to help you to prepare and/or gain qualifications.

A one-off workshop on Monday 20 November, 9.30am-12.30pm at the United Reformed Church in the town centre will give you an overview of opportunities within Adult Social Care.

Booking is required for this course.

This will be followed by a more in depth course over three Saturdays beginning on Saturday 2 December, 9.30am – 4.30pm at the Park Road Centre near Fingerpost. You will cover a wide range of knowledge and skills to help you achieve your ambitions, including: different types of care settings, communication methods and the roles and responsibilities of a Care Worker.

On successful completion of the course, you’ll receive the Level 1 Award in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care and a guaranteed interview with a local employer. And the good news is that the courses are entirely free! Why wait? Your new career could be just one step away.

To book on to this course – or for more information – call ACL today on 01744 677315 or 01744 677328.
