Are you looking to become more active and fit but don’t know where to start? With ‘Couch to 5k’, you can ‘train’ your body to run 5k in just nine weeks.
Couch to 5k is a running plan for beginners wanting to lose the couch potato lifestyle and improve their fitness levels.
As the sessions go on, you will be gradually building up your fitness level to running a distance of 5k. Every session lasts around 45 minutes.
At the last leg of the journey, the Halewood 5k, you will be presented with a certificate for your dedication and as recognition for your achievement.
The programme consists of three sessions a week beginning on 3 September 2017 and ending on 4 November 2017 which is the Halewood 5k.
The sessions take place at Stadt Moers Park on Mondays at 10am, and at Halewood Environment Centre on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6pm.
