Skelmersdale’s Delph Side Primary are Silver Winners for Primary School of the Year – Making a Difference

0

Delph Side Primary, in Skelmersdale, have today Thursday 20th June celebrated one of their greatest achievements! Having been nominated for national PRIMARY SCHOOL OF THE YEAR – MAKING A DIFFERENCE, and welcoming the judges into school back in April, we are Pearson Silver Winners!

This now means we are invited to the House of Commons for a celebration on 11th July, then to the annual ‘Classroom Heroes’ ceremony in October, broadcast on the BBC to celebrate our brilliant profession.

The results were a secret from the staff team and children, only revealed today!  It was incredibly emotional and everyone is so happy and immensely proud.  We celebrated with a surprise party – delicious food provided by Mellors, inflatable slides and assault course, hook a duck, circus skills school, dancing on the playground and a mobile zoo!  It was our own mini festival!

This achievement celebrates our success as a shining beacon for our community, a hub of aspiration and determination, mixed with a haven of sanctuary, support, kindness and simple consistency.

Please share and help us celebrate – huge news for our community, this is the NATIONAL Teaching Awards!
