Free 6 week course at your local Library
Free help to get online and learn a number of different skills which could include, using the mouse and keyboard, searching the web safely, applying for jobs completing on-line forms, using email, finding free entertainment, follow your hobbies, using public services and your library online.
These courses use the short Learn My Way online modules that you choose to meet your requirements with 1:1 support from library staff, Lancashire Adult Learning and volunteers. The courses are self-directed and interactive and allows people to progress at their own pace with support. You can also bring your tablet or laptop along and access this course using the Library’s free Wi-Fi. Once you have enrolled, if you have a computer at home you can access the modules in your own time.
We provide bite-size courses and one to one help. It doesn’t matter how young or old you are, it doesn’t matter if you’ve never used a computer, we can help you! There are also follow on courses you can access if you wish too.
This is a free event, but places are limited, so advance booking is essential
This is a 6 week course of 2 hour sessions. Please ensure you can attend all sessions before registering.

Work Clubs are two & a half hour sessions for up to six weeks for people who are actively seeking a job. You will get help and advice with covering letters and application forms and will be advised about relevant training opportunities and courses. We will show you how to use Find a job to search and apply for the latest jobs locally, nationally and abroad.
This session is free. Open to all adults over 19.

Toddler Rhyme Time (Skelmersdale)

Sing-along songs and rhymes with movement and actions for pre-school children from around 18 months upwards. Rhyming is more than just fun, it actually helps young children make connections between sounds and words, encouraging their language development plus the actions help develop motor skills. It will keep your toddler entertained and engaged in learning!
