Wet weather failed to dampen the spirits of hundreds of families who arrived in Church Square at the weekend to see some very special visitors from Lapland.

Santa and his reindeer brought some Christmas magic to the town centre as shoppers turned out in force to stock up on gifts and seasonal supplies.

New arrivals H&M, Fatface and USC were among the retailers to benefit from the extra festive footfall.

St Helens town centre provides a great range of high street stores and independent shops, quality restaurants, pubs and bars. Easily accessible car parking can be found at Chalon Way Car Park and throughout the town centre.

Parking on Chalon Way, Birchley Street and St. Mary’s car parks is free after 3pm. And don’t forget the FREE council town centre car parking that’s available every Saturday.
