With only a few hours to go until Qualifying, there have already been some drama in FP1 and 2. In FP1 Jenson Button spun at turn 1 due to a mechanical failure and the Ferrari drivers topped the board with a very impressive performance from Fernando Alonso in the struggling McLaren car putting himself firmly in the top 10.
FP2 saw more drama when Jenson again had to walk back to the pits when his car stopped on circuit. Towards the end of the session however the red flag was brought out and the pit lane closed due to a collision between Vettel and Perez. The pitlane reopened with a queue of cars at the exit but Kimi Raikonnen and Lewis Hamilton came under fire when they drove around the queue to get out of the pits first, only Kimi recieved a reprimand for his actions as he endangered the mechanics. Also Sebastian Vettel who was involved with the collision that brought out the red flag was released unsafely as his front right wheel was not secure yet recieved no penalty.
Qualifying For the Bahrain Grand Prix starts at 16:00 GMT.
