Shortly after 6.30pm on Monday 14 October 2019, three men burgled a house on Bird Street, Ince.
The victim – an 89-year-old man – answered the door to four men purporting to be from Wigan Council who said they were there to check the water supply.
The offenders stole a number of personal items.
They are described as white men, wearing all dark clothing and had Wigan accents.
Shortly after 7pm on the same day, four men burgled a house on Snowdon Avenue in Worsley Mesnes.
The victim – a 79-year-old man – was inside at the time of the incident but thankfully wasn’t seriously injured despite having bleach sprayed on his face.
The offenders fled the scene with a quantity of cash.
The offenders are described as follows:
Offender one – A white man in his 20s, heavy build, 5ft 8 tall, aged approximately 26, wearing all black clothing and a mask.
Offender two – A white man, stocky build, 5ft 8 – 5ft 10 tall, wearing all dark clothing and carrying a screwdriver.
Offender three – A white man in his 20s, stocky build and wearing all dark clothing.
Offender four – A white man, stocky build, wearing all dark clothing.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch.
