Are you a business who wants to connect with fellow business leaders, reap the benefits of helping to promote the area and connect with those organisations who are here to support business development and growth? Then the Skelmersdale Ambassadors Network is for you!

Since its launch in 2016 the network has attracted interest from across West Lancashire and beyond.  Over 100 businesses have already benefitted from attending networking events, sharing knowledge and making new connections.

Keen to find out more? Then attend a FREE business breakfast event being held at West Lancashire College on Thursday 12 July between 7.45am and 9.30am; where you can hear from influential guest speakers, enjoy a morning of networking and refreshments and take a tour of the brand new Construction, Engineering & Logistics Centre.

Moving forwards, to grow and sustain the network a new fee structure will be introduced from 1 September 2018. The new fees will allow members to continue to benefit from:

  • A full programme of networking and social events
  • Opportunities to showcase their business
  • Free seminars and workshops
  • Access to the Skelmersdale Steering Group

Steve Jones, chair of the Skelmersdale Steering Group said: “Skelmersdale is a great place to live, work and invest in your business. To continue the success that the Network brings to the borough we have ambitious plans to grow and build on these achievements. Join the Skelmersdale Ambassadors and you can become a powerful advocate who influences, attracts investment and encourages business growth in West Lancashire.”

Councillor Ian Moran, Leader of West Lancashire Borough Council and portfolio holder for Economic Regeneration, said: “A key Council priority is to be ambitious for our economy. The Ambassadors Network is continuing to develop and I would encourage businesses across the borough to join and help to make the local economy even stronger, which in turn will benefit everyone living and working here.”

Booking is required in advance to secure a place at the event. To find out more please email: contact@letstalkskelmersdale.com or call the Council’s Economic Regeneration Team on 01695 712692.
