An appeal for information has been made by police after a 21 year old woman had her motorbike stolen at gunpoint in Downholland. The incident took place at about 2:15pm on Friday 3rd April when the victim, a 21 year old woman, had been riding along Old Moss Lane. The woman was approached by two men on a yellow off road motorcycle, who have stopped nearby. One of the men has walked towards the victim, before taking out what is believed to have been a silver hand gun out of his pocket and has demanded the bike from the victim. He has then ridden off from the scene on the stolen bike, followed by the other man on the yellow motorcycle.

The man who has threatened the victim has been described as being white, approximately 5ft 4in tall, with a medium build and blue eyes and short hair. At the time of the incident he had been wearing a black ski mask with ‘North Face’ written across the forehead, a black North Face jacket, black trousers and black gloves. He is believed to have spoken with a Liverpool accent.

The other man has been described as being white, approximately 5ft 5in tall, with a thin build and he was also dressed in black and was wearing a ski mask with ‘North Face’ written in yellow letters across the forehead.

The victim’s motorbike has since been recovered in the Liverpool area.

DC Kate Finch of Skelmersdale Police said ‘This must have been a terrifying incident for the victim and an investigation to identify the two men responsible is underway. If anybody recognises the description of either man, the yellow off road motorcycle or has any information about what happened then please do contact us.’
