Improve your wellbeing with Learn to Grow courses

St Helens Council’s Adult and Community Learning team has joined other national adult education providers in taking part in a government funded mental health research project to test the effects of community learning on mental health.

As part of the Learn to Grow wellbeing programme, St Helens Adult and Community Learning has been able to offer a wide range of courses to over 400 learners since the programme started in 2016 – with over 90 percent of participants rating courses as excellent, and 80 percent feeling more positive about themselves after completing phase one of the course.

Ranging from photography and positive thinking classes – to card making and creative writing classes – the free courses have also opened up volunteering and further education opportunities, while others have moved on to access provision from partner organisations.

Phase two of Learn to Grow is now underway, so why not take a positive step today by signing up to one of the free courses on offer?

To book an appointment with a tutor, find out more, or enrol on the programme, please contact the St Helens Adult and Community Learning team by calling 01744 677426, or text: 07966 318558.

Residents can also find out more about Learn to Grow courses at the Healthy in St Helens event in Church Square on Friday 12 May, where members of the Adult and Community Learning team will be on hand to offer information.
