Plus a December Christmas special is also being arranged – date to follow!

Visitors who attended the events in June, July and August were asked if they would like Foodie Friday to continue with an overwhelming 99% stating yes! Due to the popularity of the events, the council, in conjunction with the Foodie Friday organisers, have decided to continue the events and are looking forward to welcoming back those traders and performers who helped to deliver the very best family-friendly event with great street food, craft ales and live entertainment. The weather won’t be able to spoil the fun as additional cover, lighting and seating will be available.

Due to return are I Knead Pizza, Tapas Y ala Carta, Hungry Little Critters and Crepe Chateau, alongside local Huyton businesses including Bexleys Craft Butchers, The Body Branch and Treat Yourself, as well as a handful of new street food traders. Entertainment will once again be provided by local artists. The fun starts at 4.30pm and runs until around 8pm on Derby Road in Huyton Village Centre.

Councillor Graham Morgan, Leader of Knowsley Council, said “I’m delighted that Foodie Friday is returning to Huyton Village Centre. The previous events have been hugely popular and it is a great opportunity for work colleagues, friends and families to come together and socialise. Put the dates in your diary!”

Event organiser, Joe Barratt, added “I’m delighted that our Foodie Friday events have been so successful in Huyton and we hope the next four scheduled events will be even bigger and better than ever! If you’re a local business and would like to get involved in sponsoring our next events, please get in touch with me as we’d like to continue to build on the success we’ve already delivered for the benefit of the local community.”
