Anybody who may have wondered as to what Ormskirk’s Coronation Park would have looked like 1,000 years ago should go along to the Ormskirk Medieval Weekend which is taking place on Saturday 16th May and Sunday 17th May. Between 11am and 4pm on both days visitors will have the chance to experience the sights, smells, sounds and tastes of the past as Historia Normannis transport them on a journey through time. The park will be packed with interactive displays, including medieval crafts and archery demonstrations. Amongst the other attractions will be face painting, themed stalls and story-telling. There was a similar event held last year which proved to be very successful with around 4,000 attending over the weekend.

If you pay a visit to Coronation Park, Ormskirk, on Saturday 30th May at 2pm you will have the chance to join in with the open bowls session. Crown green bowls can be played by all of the family, it is a great sport for making new friends, so why not go along and give it a try? There is no need to book for this activity; you can just turn up on the day.

All children who are under 16 require adult supervision at all of these events. Suitable clothing and footwear for the weather and ground conditions should be worn when attending these activities.
