Young people aged up to 16 years who live or study in St. Helens are invited to enter The St. Helens Youth Open Art Competition.

The St. Helens Youth Open Art Competition is organised each year by St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic High and The World of Glass with vital support from St. Helens Council Arts Service.

It is an amazing opportunity for young people in the borough to showcase their creative talents and display their artwork in a professional context and alongside their peers.

Selected work will be displayed in a professional Art Exhibition at the World of Glass, with prizes awarded in each category from Nursery school, Keystage 1-4 and secondary photography, graphic art and digital media.

Work is welcomed across all mediums including:

  • Drawings
  • Paintings
  • Glass
  • Textiles
  • Sculpture
  • Printmaking
  • Mixed media
  • Photography
  • Digital media

Entry forms are available from St. Helens Libraries and The World of Glass or by contacting St. Augustine’s on 01744 678 112.

Artwork submissions will be accepted at St Augustine’s on Boardmans Lane between Monday 23 February and Friday 6 March, 9-4pm Monday-Friday. Late entries will not be considered.

Schools are reminded that artwork must be ready for display and that only one entry per person can be accepted.
