***Issued on behalf of the Lord-Lieutenant of Lancashire***

The Commonwealth Heads of Government Summit meeting is taking place in London, and this will be taking place immediately after the Commonwealth Games in Australia.

This is an opportunity to celebrate our Commonwealth connections and shared history, an area in which Lancashire is particularly strong.

To mark this occasion there will be a County Service at Blackburn Cathedral on Sunday, 22 April, at 4pm.

The Lord-Lieutenant of Lancashire, The Lord Shuttleworth KG KCVO, and the Dean of Blackburn Cathedral, The Very Revd Peter Howell-Jones invite you to attend this special event which will have a Commonwealth theme.

It will be an opportunity from people from all sectors of Lancashire’s diverse community to gather together to celebrate the Commonwealth, to mark The Queen’s 70 years as Head of the Commonwealth, and to reflect upon the summit theme of ‘Towards a Common Future’.

For further details please contact the cathedral direct on 01254 277 430, email info@blackburncathedral.com or visit www.blackburncathedral.com
