Christmas call to creatives in Lancashire

0

Creative Lancashire has launched this year’s electronic advent calendar and they are looking for local creative individuals and organisations to get involved.

Each day the advent project will feature a unique image produced by someone from Lancashire’s creative sector, with the aim of promoting the talent and skills within the county.

Creative Lancashire is a service provided by Lancashire County Council, through its economic development company Lancashire County Developments Ltd (LCDL).

Every day in the run-up to Christmas they’ll be choosing and highlighting different creative work. This could be an image, video, animation or another creative format.

And they’re calling on anyone from the creative industry such as designers, artists and filmmakers, to design something to appear. Submissions should be seasonal.

Ed Matthews-Gentle from Creative Lancashire, said: “We’re keen for people to design something unique and imaginative, so we’re not looking for photos of teams in santa hats and antlers. The aim is to showcase some of the best creative talent we have right here in the county.

“The advent message is sent out to our entire network, which includes many creative organisations and those looking to source creative services, so it’s a great way to showcase your work, bring in new business or even develop a new collaboration.

“And it’s a great way to celebrate the season and pass on best wishes for the year ahead.”

The electronic calendar is sent out by Creative Lancashire by email to thousands of people, and is also available on their website and on twitter, so the work will be seen by professionals from across the sectors.

For your chance to be part of the Advent Project, submit your design to Ed Matthews-Gentle – emg@creativelancashire.org – before Monday 4 December.

You’ll need to include a short bio or related copy for your design, business or practice. Please also feel free to include or embed links to downloads, films and animations.

Along with your design, be sure to include your contact details to let people know where to find you. You can upload a profile to Creative Lancashire’s creative directory, if you haven’t done so already, which can link from your calendar entry to help people to find out more about your work.
